About the Husqvarna EPOS
EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) is Husqvarna's RTK-based satellite navigation for NERA Automowers. Boundaries and zones are set in the Automower Connect app instead of laying wire.
The 2026 NERA V models can receive correction data via Husqvarna Cloud rather than a local reference station, and add AI vision for obstacle avoidance.
EPOS is Husqvarna's satellite navigation system: a reference station corrects GNSS signals so the Automower knows its position to within a few centimetres. Boundaries and zones are set virtually in the Automower Connect app, and the mower cuts in systematic lines.
NERA is the generation of Automower that accepts EPOS as a plug-in, so the same mower can be run with a boundary wire, with EPOS, or a mix. This gives owners an upgrade path and makes it popular with professional installers.
As with other RTK systems, open sky is the key requirement. Husqvarna dealers can check signal coverage on site and position the station for the best result.
