About the Vision (camera) navigation
Vision mowers use cameras and AI to tell grass from non-grass, detect obstacles and estimate their position.
Vision-only mowers navigate with cameras and on-board AI. They learn where the grass ends by recognising the edge of the lawn — paths, bed borders, walls — and build a map from what they see, without a boundary wire or an RTK station.
Setup is the simplest of all systems: unpack, place the dock, let the mower explore or drive it around once. That, plus the lowest prices, makes vision mowers popular for small and medium lawns.
Limits: they need daylight, clear lawn edges and a lawn whose look does not change dramatically. Grass that blends into meadow or gravel, very uneven lighting and heavy leaf cover in autumn can confuse them. eufy E15/E18, Sunseeker V-series, Bosch VISIMOW and Einhell FREELEXO CAM are typical examples.
