Overview
The Automower 450V NERA (£4,899) is the top version of the Husqvarna Automower NERA V. It is rated for lawns up to 7,500 m² and slopes up to 50%. Navigation: EPOS via Husqvarna Cloud + AI vision.
Husqvarna's flagship residential robot for very large lawns.
On paper it suits very large properties, paddocks and estates — the manufacturer rates it for up to 7,500 m². A 50% slope rating covers most sloping gardens; for banks steeper than that, look at AWD models. As always, treat the area figure as a best case: buy with a 30–50% buffer if your lawn has slopes, trees or narrow passages.
Positioning uses network RTK: correction data arrives over the internet, so there is no reference station to mount on the house, but a mobile or Wi-Fi connection is needed. Cameras add AI obstacle detection and visual tracking, which helps the mower avoid toys, pets and garden furniture and bridges short gaps in the satellite signal.
It mows with a 24 cm cutting width and a cutting height of 20–60 mm. Power comes from a 7.5 Ah battery — 160 min mowing, 55 min charge. Rated noise is 58 dB(A), quiet enough for close neighbours. It weighs about 15 kg, light enough to carry between separate lawns.
The Automower NERA V family also includes the Automower 405VE NERA, Automower 410VE NERA, Automower 430V NERA; the versions differ mainly in rated area, battery and price, so pick the smallest one that covers your lawn with a margin.
