Overview
Wire-free STIGA with a virtual perimeter, Active Guidance System and Quiet Mark-certified low noise.
On paper it suits large gardens — the manufacturer rates it for up to 2,500 m². A 45% slope rating covers most sloping gardens; for banks steeper than that, look at AWD models. As always, treat the area figure as a best case: buy with a 30–50% buffer if your lawn has slopes, trees or narrow passages.
Positioning uses network RTK: correction data arrives over the internet, so there is no reference station to mount on the house, but a mobile or Wi-Fi connection is needed.
It mows with a 18 cm cutting width and a cutting height of 20–60 mm. Cutting system: 4 pivoting blades. Power comes from a 5 Ah battery — 120 min charge. Rated noise is 59 dB(A).
The A series family also includes the A 3000; the versions differ mainly in rated area, battery and price, so pick the smallest one that covers your lawn with a margin.
Price: £2,769 (UK RRP). Prices vary by market and retailer — check current offers before buying.
