ECOVACSGOAT A LiDAR PRO

Half-acre GOAT with satellite-free LiDAR mapping, a dual blade disc and the TruEdge trimmer.

On paper it suits typical suburban gardens — the manufacturer rates it for up to 2,000 m². A 50% slope rating covers most sloping gardens; for banks steeper than that, look at AWD models. As always, treat the area figure as a best case: buy with a 30–50% buffer if your lawn has slopes, trees or narrow passages.

Its LiDAR sensor scans the garden in 3D and lets the mower localise itself against that map, so it keeps working under trees, next to house walls and at dusk — places where satellite-only mowers often lose their position. Satellite RTK positioning gives centimetre-level accuracy on open lawns, which means virtual boundaries drawn in the app, several zones and neat parallel stripes instead of random mowing.

It mows with a 33 cm cutting width and a cutting height of 30–90 mm. Cutting system: dual blade disc + TruEdge trimmer. Power comes from a 3 Ah battery — 150 min runtime, 50 min charge. Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.

The GOAT A LiDAR PRO family also includes the GOAT A3000 LiDAR PRO; the versions differ mainly in rated area, battery and price, so pick the smallest one that covers your lawn with a margin.
